Member Benefits

Tangible benefits of joining Temple Beth Abraham are plenty. But the real benefits are intangible. Through shared Jewish heritage and traditions, we deepen our connection to each other and the community. We expand our souls. We help repair the world.

Member Benefits include:

  • Clergy are always available for lifecycle events, pastoral care and support
  • High Holiday tickets for immediate family
  • Religious school, youth group, and B-Mitzvah participation (tuition and fees additional)
  • Discounts and priority enrollment in preschool, camps, and after-school programs
  • Unlimited participation in adult education classes, programs, and events

Temple Beth Abraham is a member of the Union for Reform Judaism. Worship services are conducted in both the Reform and Conservative traditions.

At Temple Beth Abraham, we do not charge a set dollar amount for yearly dues. Mindful of the wide range of financial circumstances of our membership, we ask each member to make an Annual Commitment, contributing to the best of their ability, so anyone who wants, can join.

Flexible Annual Commitment — How It Works
Our members value being a part of an inclusive, supportive community. So we all step up, making an assessment of our own financial resources and prioritizing Temple Beth Abraham in our annual giving.

Many prospective members ask for guidance on giving. We only ask that you invest at the highest level that comfortably fits within your family budget, while also being mindful of our synagogue’s financial obligations.

To help our members determine an appropriate Annual Commitment, we have created the following levels:

  • Sustaining $4,450 (similar to annual dues charged at other area synagogues)
  • Foundational $2,800 (helps us minimize budget gaps and much less than other area synagogues)
  • All members are required to pay a security fee of $225
  • All new members are required to contribute at their ability to our Building Fund

Contributions may be paid over time by check, debit or credit card, EFT/ACH, or stock transfer. We understand everyone may not be able to give at these levels, and hope that over time, and as circumstances allow, your contribution will grow as your connection to the community deepens.
