“Tzedek, Tzedek Tirdof” – “Justice, Justice Shall You Pursue” (Deuteronomy 16:20) Social justice is a Jewish imperative and a core value of Temple Beth Abraham.
Through JEDI – Justice, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion – we work to create a welcoming environment for Jews of color and members of the LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual,+others) community, offering programming focused on racial injustice.
Announcing TBA Congregation Trip in Spring 2024: Civil Rights Tour of the US South
Join us in the spring of 2024 as we head south to learn about the struggles of African Americans to gain equality in the 1950’s and 60’s. Discover how Jews participated in the Civil Rights Movement. Gain a better understanding of the imperative we feel as Jews, people who have known oppression for thousands of years, must care and act when others are oppressed.
