Jewish life

Services

From Shabbat to holiday worship, Temple Beth Abraham services offer inspiration, celebration and time for reflection.

Founded as an orthodox synagogue in 1899, our congregation moved to Conservative worship in the 1930’s. In 1946 the decision was made to affiliate with the Reform movement while holding both Reform and Conservative services for Shabbat and Holidays. Our unique history and our ongoing commitment to Jewish pluralism allows us to offer a variety of worship

Our clergy, educators, and lay-leaders work together, welcoming input from the community. Our approach is to respect our tradition while always evolving, helping everyone find the connections that work for them in a warm and welcoming setting. Please see our Shabbat services [link] and Holiday services [link] pages for more detail.

Streaming Services

All our services are multi-access, extending our k’hillah kedosha (sacred community) beyond the walls for those who cannot attend in person. We welcome you to worship with us as you are most comfortable. [link to streaming page]

Music & Prayers

Our synagogue is filled with music - in the classrooms, in the sanctuary and the chapel, and in the halls. Music connects us to one another and our heritage, enriches our learning and our spirituality, and infuses our community with joy. From modern to ancient, from Ashkenazi (Eastern European) to Sephardic (Spain/The Iberian Peninsula) and more, we love to sing. Join us as we raise our voices together!
